Raffle Winner

During 2007 the Australian Salers Association has conducted its raffle for one Salers steer or carcase.  The result was drawn on 1st December 2007 and the winner was Maureen Gillan of Dalby, Qld. Maureen chose to accept her prize as dollars after slaughter and sale of the raffelled steer.  The 700kg, 22-month-old steer was killed by Swift Australia Pty Ltd at Dinmore (in Qld), yielding a carcase weight of 449kg with average fat depth 14mm.  It yielded 64.14% for a net return of $1257-20.  Congratulations Maureen!!  And thank you to everyone who purchased tickets to also be part of this raffle.
